about

After this album going from being just an EP to a full album, the wait was worth it. The original release date was going to be in the fall of 2014 but has been pushed back due to making everything perfect about it. Hella is an album that takes an insight into the creative styles that shxps has to offer. With songs that have trap flavor "KEYS" to even jazzy smoother tracks like "Marina Del Ray". Shxps shows that nothing can stand in his way with moving forward to anything that stands in good taste of music.

The album also has skits that show a story of what getting into "Tha Industry" is like. Finding a label to take him on to promote his music is a challenge he conflicts on this album. But does he really need a label, PR, and a manager to get him success? Another challenge he has to figure out on this album is finding the positivity among whats actually real to him. Its a change from being a high school student to becoming a college student and adult.

Hella features a large collection of guest appearances. The first one to appear is on "Be Free" which features Indianapolis rapper Willis. Willis is a rapper, producer, and overall creative force that shxps has worked with back in high school. This is the first song that they have done together. Next to appear on Hella is Doctor D.A.V.E on the song "She a Freak". With his pitched down vocals, He is a rapper from Inglewood, California which is also the hometown of Shxps. Duke Algebra makes his first collaboration on the song "Baby Don't Sweat It" which is a more laid back track with a chopped and skrewed feel to it at the end. Then the next feature to appear is "Spread The Love" with the talented Logan Schildknecht who takes on the positive vibes on this upbeat and groovy track. Long time collaborator VRGO makes another appearance on Hella with the banger "Laser". Last but not least, Louie from tumblr makes his heavy hitting bars on the three part song "Escape The Trap".
